IRTG1123 Young Investigator Award Winner 2021
During the 9th Cardiac Regeneration and Vascular Biology Conference in Italy, Chunfang Zan won the Young Investigator Award 2021. Chunfang is part of the Bernhagen lab and specializes on MIF-2/D-DT-mediated inflammatory and metabolic mechnisms in atherosclerosis. Congratulations, Chunfang!
Qurrat Ul Ain (Ainee) and Amin Sharifi also gave a short talk in this context.
Ainee is part of the B06 lab, working with Prof. Dr. Steffen Massberg and Prof. Dr. Christian Schulz, investigating the role of immune cells in plaque triggered thrombosis and more specifically in clonal hematopoiesis driven atherosclerosis.
Amin is part of the B02 project led by Prof. Dr. med. Heribert Schunkert and Dr. med. Thorsten Kessler, working at the TUM 'Deutsches Herzzentrum München' on the ADAMTS-7 gene.
