IRTG1123 Annual Retreat 2021, San Servolo, Venice, Italy
The 9th “Cardiac Regeneration and Vascular Biology” Conference took place as a hybrid event on the campus of the Venice International University (VIU) on the island of San Servolo in Venice, Italy.
This year, the IRTG1123 Annual Retreat coincided with the conference – members of our graduate program could profit from the presence of renowned national and international scientists and researchers from the fields of cardiac regeneration and vascular biology.
Alongside the speaker lectures, there were Poster Sessions in which PhD students could introduce their work and receive feedback. Additionally, the Young Investigator Award gave four selected PhD students the opportunity to present their work in a short talk.
Hosted by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Sabine Steffens, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Jürgen Bernhagen and Prof. Dr. Christian Kupatt, the event was realised in cooperation between the University Hospital Munich, LMU and the TU Munich.
The event was funded by: Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), Deutsches Zentrum für Herz-Kreislauf-Forschung (DZHK) and the Munich Heart Alliance.
