IRTG1123 PhD Graduate - Selin Gencer

On behalf of the entire CRC1123 and the IRTG Board, we congratulate Selin to her PhD.

Selin studied how ACKR3 may affect atherosclerosis in a cell specific manner, finding that endothelial specific ACKR3 deficiency in hyperlipidemic mice limits atherosclerosis by interfering with immune cell adhesion onto the arterial wall and thereby limiting immune cell infiltration into the arterial intima.

From June onwards, Selin will be working at the Altos Labs in California - on cardiovascular rejuvenation.

We wish her much success for her future endeavors.
