Content:
The aims of the seminar are to introduce the basics of science communication, to learn the first techniques and methods of science communication, to deal with critical questions and to discuss current challenges and best practices. Participants will learn techniques that will help them to convey their research in a concise and understandable way, to inspire confidence among the addressees and to deal well with critical questions. This knowledge is consolidated through exercises. In addition, the seminar offers space for sharing experiences and discussions.
About Part 2:

Content:
The workshop builds on the content of the basic module on science communication. Presenting scientific findings to the general public is becoming increasingly important and is personally rewarding. The focus of the workshop is on the concrete practical implementation of science communication. Participants will receive tips on how to write their own popular science texts for print and online media (e.g. columns, blog posts, press releases). You will learn how to prepare for press inquiries for interviews, radio or television reports and what to look out for. We will also look at challenges in the relationship between science and the public.
